Special Education Preschool Early Education Program
Our Mission at PEEP
The goal of our Preschool Early Education Program (PEEP) program is to improve outcomes for preschool aged children with disabilities and their families by providing individualized educational services that are evidence based, developmentally appropriate, and linked to the standards provided by the California Preschool Learning Foundations. These services are provided within a variety of caring environments that promote each child’s social, emotional, physical, communication and cognitive development. We view each child as an individual with unique strengths and utilize these strengths in partnering with families to ensure that each child attains their full potential.

PEEP Early Communication Groups
At PEEP, special education communication services are provided in a preschool-like setting with a Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP). Children who attend PEEP generally also attend a community based preschool. PEEP offers speech, language and social skills development within a small group setting. Services are provided during small group sessions and parents are encouraged to attend sessions with their child.
PEEP+ Early Communication & Learning Readiness Groups
At PEEP+, special education services are provided in a preschool-like setting with a SLP and Early Childhood Special Education Specialist (ECSE). Children who attend PEEP+ may also attend a community based preschool. The program provides structured educational play based experiences and activities where children learn to develop communication and preschool learning to learn/readiness skills. Services are provided during small group sessions and parents are encouraged to attend sessions with their child.
