Neurodiversity Resources
Neurodiversity & Inclusive Learning Environment
At San Luis Coastal Unified School District, all staff focus on success for all students. We believe that every student deserves a safe, secure, and nurturing school community which prepares them to live a life of purpose. We value the social-emotional needs of our students and strive to maintain nurturing and inclusive school communities. We recognize that brain differences, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning variations, are a natural part of human diversity. Embracing neurodiversity means honoring the unique strengths, creative thinking, and learning styles that every student brings to our schools.
Neurodiversity & Bullying Prevention
In alignment with California's Senate Bill 939 (SB 939) and our commitment to a Culture of Care and Safety, the Student Support Services Department provides families, students, and educators with accessible, evidence-based tools to foster inclusion and prevent bullying. Together, we are building a district culture where difference is honored, allies are empowered, and every student feels a deep sense of belonging.
