Children of families with income at or below the eligibility guidelines established for the free/reduced lunch program (National Free Lunch Program) are eligible for equivalent discounts for bus transportation.

Household Size: The number of people in your household is any group of related or non-related individuals (parent, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, roommates, etc.) sharing living expenses including rent, clothing, food, and utility bills.

Gross Income Eligibility Guidelines: All household income BEFORE deductions including all wages, child support, alimony, pensions, income from investments, all government subsidized financial programs, and all other income for all members of the household.

Children of families whose Parent/Guardian is on active military duty will be transported free of charge. A copy of the document indicating active military status must be made available upon request.

Special Education Students with an Individual Education Program requiring transportation services will be transported without charge. A completed registration form must be on file with the Transportation Department, and student must have bus pass in his/her possession. (Attaching it to the student’s back pack is acceptable.)

Foster children are eligible to ride free of charge, if the student would otherwise be eligible for transportation services. A copy of the Foster Parent agreement must be made available upon request.

Students who are designated English learners receive free transportation through new state funding.
