Buildings, Grounds & Transportation
The Buildings, Grounds & Transportation Department's goal is to provide the best possible services (within the available resources) for our students, staff, and the greater school community. We pride ourselves on anticipating problems before they affect our clients and strive to consistently keep our schools running smoothly. We are responsible for the maintenance and repair of all our facilities, daily cleaning, community use, remodeling, bus transportation, sports field preparation, communication systems, and safety systems. We are fortunate to have a staff of professional, dedicated employees who are honored to support the educational process.

Chris Bonin, Director
Chris Bonin currently serves as the Director of Facilities Operations, Transportation, and Bond Coordinator for the San Luis Coastal Unified School District, a position he has held since 2017. With over 30 years of experience in facilities management within commercial and retail environments, Chris brings extensive expertise to his role. His background encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including logistics, manufacturing, and business process automation, which enables him to efficiently manage complex operations. In addition, Chris has successfully overseen and coordinated multiple K-12 facility construction bonds, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with district objectives. His leadership continues to drive continuous improvement in the district's infrastructure and operational performance.
