For many families, financial hardships and stress from the inability to work makes the necessity of home-based learning particularly challenging. Across our community, children and families are struggling with the difficulties of COVID-19. Our most vulnerable students are especially at-risk during this challenging time. Schools are working hard to help impacted students, but they cannot do it alone.

As San Luis Coastal extends school site closure to the end of the school year, the District recognizes the need for a fair, balanced, and reasonable set of guidelines for students, families, and teachers. District staff created a Distance Learning Plan to help provide these parameters. This document provides guidelines for distance teaching, learning, and assessment in the district.
The Food & Nutrition Services Department is now offering one-time ordering for weekly Meal Pick-up through the end of the school year. This is a free service offered to all SLCUSD families and there is no charge for student meals during the school closure.
To place your order, simply fill out the form to indicate which dates you would like to pick up your meals, select the location and time you will be picking them up, and enter your student's information. Make sure you put your order in right away, as the cut-off time for each Wednesday service will continue to be Tuesdays at 12pm. The meal helpline will be open Monday - Friday from 9am-2pm at 805-549-1270.
