Messaging and content will be:

  • Observable and interruptible by a staff member and/or parent/guardian

On a District-approved platform, coaches will have a team-specific electronic communications plan

Timely and Consistent

Limit communication between staff and student-athletes and their parents / guardians to 8 am - 8 pm

Observable & Interruptible Contact

All adult contact with student-athletes must be observable and interruptible by another adult.  One-on-one contact between an adult and a student-athlete is not permitted.

Contact includes communication. Any communication outside of practice and/or competition must:

  • Occur on District-approved platforms (e.g. ParentSquare, StudentSquare, Google Classroom, Aeries, etc.) or in writing through text, District email,  student District email, etc.

  • Be open and transparent

  • Include the entire team (*If individual communication is necessary, it must include a fellow coach or the Athletic Director)
