San Luis Coastal Unified School District is committed to providing educational and extracurricular experiences for all students in a positive and safe environment. We endeavor to develop the values of athletics, including sportsmanship, teamwork, cooperation, and competition. Our programs also support students in becoming courageous and creative thinkers, skillful collaborators, and productive contributors in a diverse and rapidly evolving world.
Safe Sports & Extracurricular Programs Policy
The Safe Sports & Extracurricular Programs Policy defines San Luis Coastal Unified School District’s framework to ensure a safe and enriching experience for all students participating in extracurricular athletics and co-curricular activities. The District is committed to building a community and culture of health, safety, and excellence, where students can thrive in sport and in life.
Every student has the right to train, practice and compete safely, regardless of whether they are learning a basic skill or competing in events representing their school. The District remains committed to fostering a culture that actively works to prevent the opportunity for unsafe circumstances to occur. Our Safe Extracurricular Program Policy provides a blueprint to reach that foundational objective in District extracurricular activities.
