The San Luis Coastal Unified School District Board of Trustees adopted a resolution at their December 14, 2021 Board Meeting, establishing new trustee area boundaries in compliance with the California Voting Rights Act.  The new map will be used for the first time for the November 2022 election.

San Luis Coastal Unified School District invites you to attend a Trustee Listening and Engagement Session on Thursday,  April 21, 2022.  We will offer two virtual sessions via Zoom:

Sessions will include:

  • A review of the California Voting Rights Act and the process used to determine the current Trustee Area maps;
  • Meet individual Trustees who represent each of the seven Trustee areas;
  • Ways to navigate and understand the interactive map in order to determine specific Trustee Areas based on residence in San Luis Coastal;
  • Learn more about the election cycle and timelines for the November 2022 and November 2024 elections in San Luis Coastal;
  • Learn about the District’s Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles as well as the Board’s Annual Priorities;
  • Learn about the District’s budget and status of Measure D projects;
  • Using anonymous online survey tools, participants can offer feedback and ask questions of staff and/or individual Trustees

Please join us! We look forward to hearing your feedback, ideas, and questions. We will also record these sessions and add them to the District’s YouTube page for those unable to attend.  If you have any questions, please contact Mandy Dawson at mdawson@slcusd.org or 805.549.1200.
