DELAC
The District English Learners Advisory Committee (DELAC) advises on the District's English learners program. DELAC is made up of representatives from each school site around the district. Meetings are held six times a year and are open to the public.
DELAC participates in the following:
- Developing the SLCUSD master plan for English learner programs
- Conducting needs assessments to inform English learner programs
- Establishing SLCUSD goals for English learner programs and progress
- Developing a plan to ensure compliance with applicable teacher and instructional aide requirements
- Reviewing and commenting on SLCUSD’s reclassification criteria
- Reviewing the consolidated application (CONAPP)
- Assist in development and implementation of the District Parent Involvement Program
