iINNOVATE

The iINNOVATE Initiative is a partnership between SLCUSD and the San Luis Coastal Education Foundation to connect classroom learning to the outside world, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in a rapidly changing world.  

Our goal is to prepare students to be life-long learners. We aim to cultivate curiosity and encourage students to embrace the journey of trial and error.  Through iINNOVATE, our team of passionate teachers is working to design meaningful learning experiences that empower students to develop and apply their knowledge to relevant, multidisciplinary scenarios. By transferring academic information into practice, students become active participants in and forge deep connections to their standards-based learning. 

iINNOVATE is a K12 initiative that aims to ensure that all students have equitable access to 21st century learning opportunities. Launched in 2019, we are in Phase I of our implementation work which has brought state-of-the-art innovation labs, model lessons and teacher training to all 10 of our district elementary sites.
