Laguna Middle School
Measure C will begin with a focus on the exterior of the campus along with new HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems. Along with the roof, HVAC, and exterior upgrades, we will be modernizing all of the main restrooms on campus. The restrooms will be brought up to current ADA standards, as well as the addition of unisex restrooms. Campuswide new fire alarm and infrastructure (water, gas, electric) upgrades.
- Re-roofing all campus buildings, including: PVC for flat roof areas with walk pads, and replace metal finish on slope with cement fiber board or other material.
- Replace skylight at library and remove at entry.
- Painting all campus building exteriors, including walls, soffits, doors, and windows and canopies.
- Upgrade A/C paving at parking and drop-offs in front of campus and service road on south side.
- Modernize and upgrade three sets of large multi-accommodation restrooms.
- Re-roofing and repair of covered canopies, including: new PVC roofing with walk pads, new fascia, cut-off wood outriggers, repair damaged beams and connections, remove internal gutter, install fascia mount gutters, remove sections of canopies and possible cutback of width of canopies. Remove exterior walkway doors and windows.
- Replace HVAC units on all buildings and add cooling with individual units for each classroom and major spaces.
- Replace and upgrade fire alarm system.
- Site ADA upgrades.
- Replace main sewer line from street to campus.
- Split domestic water and fire lines to separate system.
- Ornamental iron fence modifications (paint or replace).
