Principal's Message
Laguna is a safe school that provides a challenging, academic environment designed to address the needs of 11-15 year olds. We have helped this diverse, active group of young people learn and move successfully through this important stage of life.
Laguna provides students with many opportunities to develop academic skills, acquire fundamental knowledge, appreciate diversity, understand future opportunities, determine their interests and special talents, and experience a sense of belonging. We focus upon helping students satisfy their need for close relationships with teachers and peers while moving toward greater independence.
We provide for: a) an adult advisor who knows and is concerned about each student's academic progress and adjustment to school; b) an enthusiastic staff that provides programs designed to help students reach their potential; c) an environment in which curiosity and creativity of students is emphasized and the displaying of student projects, art work, and reports; d) an activity program that encourages student participation in sports and activities during lunch and after school.
