Job Opportunities

Certificated

Certificated vacancies require submission of a District Application, Supplemental Application, current letters of recommendation (3), photocopy of credential, and photocopy of transcripts. We accept applications for posted vacancies only and the applications and supporting documentation must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on the closing date.

You may obtain an application on-line, by calling our Job Line at (805) 549-1320, or by visiting our office. We are open 7:30-4:30 Monday-Friday. Current District employees may submit a letter of intent in lieu of application.

Applications will be screened and only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed.  All applicants must meet minimum vacancy announcement requirements and obtain Department of Justice clearance upon hire.

Promotional Opportunities
Those current employees interested in promotional opportunities should follow the regular application procedures.

Transfer or Demotion Opportunities
Employees who have completed probation in their present assignment may request a lateral transfer or demotion. To determine the procedure to follow, CSEA and SEIU members should check the Transfer section of their contract (either on this web site or on a hard copy). Transfer forms are available on the District’s shared directory or through the Personnel Office.
